Any thoughts on these envelopes that shield the biometric information embedded on the new passports? How rigid are they? Would this be a recommended holiday gift for someone who travels a lot? Thank you for your thoughts on this!

The shields are light and bendable like plastic. I have them for my credit cards, and I would recommend them as an inexpensive and useful gift. (My passport is too old to need a shield).
