After completing a Norwegian Coastal Voyage cruise in October ’03, my husband, another couple and I spent four to five days in Bergen.
We can highly recommend these six hotels from our August-September ’02 trip to GERMANY. All were in the “Quite Comfortable” category (single little house icon) in the Michelin Red Guide. All had large rooms and immaculate bathrooms.

We learned about the archaeology of the Trypillian Bronze Age during our 11-day trip to Ukraine, June 27-July 7, ’02, but we also saw many interesting medieval and later sites and met many interesting people in this newly independent state.

In reference to the reader’s letter “Driver’s License Sufficient” (Dec. ’03, pg. 78), regarding International Driving Permits, years ago a friend of mine and her husband were on a trip to Italy when they had an accident in a rental car that was her husband’s fault.
