We stayed at two wonderful small hotels in ITALY the first week of April ’08. This was slightly early in the season, which meant lower rates. We enjoyed good weather and fewer crowds than during the high season.
When our family of nine — grandparents and two grandchildren (15 and 11) along with parents, aunts and uncle — ended a transatlantic cruise in Rome, ITALY, in April ’08, we wanted to reasonably enjoy a few days of touring and still be together.
My wife and I, both experienced world travelers, transferred through the Frankfurt, Germany, airport en route from Los Angeles to Lithuania and back in July ’08. We found landing at Terminal 1 and transferring to Terminal 2 (and vice versa) extremely difficult to accomplish.
