India through Worldview Tours

My wife, Georgene, and I returned Dec. 13, ’04, from a one-month adventure trip to India. We based our jaunt on the tour “Crossroads of India/Nepal” offered by Worldview Tours (Newport Beach, CA; phone 800/373-0388), with a catalog price of $6,990 per person. Working very closely with Nino Mohan, company owner, we added pre- and post-trip extensions of an additional six cities and upgraded to business class throughout.

This cooperative effort resulted in one of the most interesting, enjoyable and satisfying trips we have ever taken. All of the hotels were of a deluxe quality; tour guides were well informed, courteous and fluent in English, and we were exposed to diverse modes of travel, namely, air, railroad, bus, river cruiser, rice boat, elephantback, camel cart, pedicab, sedan chair and tuk-tuk. Only hot-air balloon was missed.

A potpourri of sights, sounds, colors, tastes, flavors and odors — each more stimulating than its predecessors — greeted us on our travels to Mumbai, Aurangabad, Jodhpur, Pushkar, Jaipur, Jaisalmer, Udaipur, Agra, Khajuraho, Delhi, Varanasi, Chennai and Kochi.

Without reservation, we highly recommend any trip to India offered by Worldview Tours.
