Friedrichshafen flat

My husband and our three adult children and I rented an apartment in Friedrichshafen, Germany, home of the Zeppelin Museum, in June ’10. Friedrichshafen is on the shore of Lake Constance, and we took the ferry there from Romanshorn, Switzerland.

We rented through the Internet at the owner’s website (www.ferienhausmiete.de/ferienhaus_suche.php?land=1). Mr. Deutschle met us at the apartment and showed us how everything worked.

The holiday flat was very clean. It had two bedrooms for two persons each, plus a child’s bed; a living room/dining room with another bed (and a door, for privacy), and a full bath and separate half bath. We felt everyone had their space and yet we could spend meals and evenings together.

The kitchen had a good assortment of cooking apparatus and dishes plus a large refrigerator, stove and dishwasher.

The price for five persons was €150 (near $195) per night. Our cleaning deposit was refunded upon checkout when we passed inspection.

We were very comfortable there. There was a free parking space for our car.
