Barton Creek Cave, an ancient burial site that is visited via canoe, allows viewers to see stalagmites and stalactites, pottery shards and remains in the water below.

Trips, at varying difficulty levels, depart at 8 a.m. or 1 p.m. and cost $224 for one or two people or $103 per person for three or more. Private tours can be booked for an extra $75. Add sales tax.

Rooms at the lodge cost from $255 to $1,800, depending on season and accommodation type.
