I found the Turkish people to have a wonderful sense of humor as well as to show creative salesmanship.

While window-shopping on a trip to Turkey, I was peering through a jewelry store window when I spied a cat at my feet. Seeing me looking down, the proprietor immediately came out and politely encouraged me to come into his shop.

When I explained that I was just looking, he came back quickly with this clever statement: “If you will look at my jewelry, I will give you the cat!”
