A play about Anne Frank entitled “Anne” premiered in May 2014 at the Theater Amsterdam (Danzigerkade 5, Westpoort number 2036, 1013 AP Amsterdam, The Netherlands; phone +31 88 123 2411)

The play is set on a panoramic stage with replicas of the house Anne Frank grew up in and the attic where she and her family hid from Nazi persecution in WWII. The play is performed in Dutch, and viewers can rent a translation-system tablet for subtitles and headphones for dubbing in seven languages, including English

The theater has three levels of seating: category 1 in the middle of the auditorium, category 2 in the rear and category 3 at the front.

Show times are 8 p.m. some Wednesdays, 8 p.m. Thurs. & Fri., and 2 & 8 p.m. Sat. & Sun. Until Sept. 1, tickets cost 75 (near $102) adult or 60 child (to age 16) in category 1 or 35 (48) adult or 20 child in category 2. After Sept. 1, 50/35 category 2 and 35/20 category 3; category 1 prices remain the same.
