Leading to the base of Uluru, or Ayers Rock, in Australia’s Northern Territory, the installation “Field of Light,” April 1, 2016-March 31, 2017, will have more than 50,000 illuminated glass bulbs on slender glass stems designed by artist Bruce Munro. The event is hosted by Ayers Rock Resort (Yulara, Northern Territory, Australia; phone +61 02 8296 8010, www.ayersrockresort.com.au), which offers multiple ways to view the installation, each with transportation provided.  Among several options are the “Field of Light Pass” (AUD35 [near $26]), in which visitors take a 2½-hour self-guided walk; the “Field of Light by Camel” (AUD375), a 45-minute tour on camelback followed by dinner, and the “Field of Light by Heli” (AUD615), a 30-minute chopper flight followed by dinner. Ayers Rock Resort, which includes four hotels and a campsite, lies 12 miles north of Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park.
