On the small island of Enoshima, in the city of Fujisawa in Kanagawa, Japan, visitors can climb to the top of the “Enoshima Sea Candle,” a 197-foot-high lighthouse. The winding, exposed stairs give climbers a 360-degree view of the region as they climb. An elevator to the top is also available. On the observation deck, 131 feet high, visitors will be able to see views of Sagami Bay, Oshima Island, Miura Peninsula and even Mt. Fuji.

The lighthouse is open daily, 9 a.m.-8 p.m. Entry ¥500 (near $4) also includes admission to the Samuel Cocking Garden.
