Views and more in Cornwall

Those readers who are fans of the British TV show “Doc Martin” and who are planning a trip to England may want to visit Cornwall, where the show is filmed.
My friend Dennis and I found a place to stay listed on Airbnb.com in the village of St. Minver, just 6 miles from Port Isaac, the location used in the show. In July 2017, we stayed four nights at Sanderling Bed & Breakfast (Rock Road, St. Minver, Wadebridge, England, PL27 6PP, U.K.; phone +44 7811 803043, www.sanderling-rock.co.uk). We found it delightful.
We were able to drive our car right up to the entrance to our room, the Master Ground Floor Garden Room, which had a full bathroom plus a small dining area that was comfortable for eating take-out food. For an extra fee, the host, Sarah Nuttall, will prepare breakfast for you.
The cost of our stay there was $60 per person per night, including taxes and other fees.
Sarah was very friendly and gave us good directions for the little country roads we would take to reach some of the sights in Cornwall, so we used this wonderful place as a base for sightseeing.
After spending a day visiting all of the places in Port Isaac that we’d seen on the TV show, we also toured other places around Cornwall, including the underground Geevor Tin Mine (www.geevor.com) and the Eden Project (www.edenproject.com), where environments are enclosed in glass geodesic domes, enabling people to experience different ecosystems.
The scenery in Cornwall is beautiful, with rolling hills, large meadows, trees and, of course, ocean views.
