Looking for recommendations for a local guide to explore Galicia and Cantabria with us. We want the flexibility of independent travel without the driving. We are fluent in Spanish and have been to the area before so we need an enthusiastic local person to take us off the beaten track. Thanks in advance.

I've traveled with Garry Budin (lives in Santiago de Compostela) twice and have been impressed with his services. He runs Spanish Adventures (http://doncamino.com/) and specializes in Northern Spain - especially the Camino de Santiago. He can arrange hotels, a car and driver for you and local guides where you need them.
