I have used these guides and both are excellent:
for Athens:
Maria Kikivaraki mkikivaraki@hotmail.com
Her price is 150euro for 4 hours; which I feel is the going rate for a good Athens guide. On different occasions, she guided me to the Plaka and Acropolis, Cape Sounion and thru the National Archaeological Museum.
For Delphi:
Penny Kolomvotsu kpagona@ hotmail.com Penny can also arrange activities like hiking, horseback riding, pottery classes, etc.

Depending on the time of year and time of day, you may spend a lot of time in traffic to reach a ruin that is not as impressive as others you could see. The drive along the coast is lovely in good weather but the time it took us to get there and back could have been better spent.

Is Cape Sounion worth the trip down the coast? I am debating between more Athens museums and a trip to Cape Sounion.
