What is a good travel company for a trip to Madagascar?

Eldertreks (a Canadian company) has a great itinerary to Madagascar. The have two departures a year and use a local guide. What I like about the company is their maximum of 16 persons and everything is included (meals, drinking water, local tipping), except for the tip to the main guide. It is a good outfit - I've done eight trips with them.

I have chosen Original World which has an excellent itinerary and is much less expensive than
Elder Treks. Some people are devoted fans of Elder Treks but some others wouldn't travel with them
again. Original World has a trip going in October, the perfect time to see the baby lemurs.

We also looked at Eldertreks as well as a number of other companies and booked with Wilderness Travel. Their trip was shorter than Eldertreks and the itinerary comparable, primarily because Wilderness uses Charter flights rather than overland, thus reducing the number of days and the cost as well. We found the elder treks trip to be lengthy with not much more than the trip we booked.

Wilderness has trips going in October as well, as a number of other dates, and they have open dates in 2020 for those long range planners.
