We traveled to Zimbabwe in August of 2019. We stayed at Somalisa Camp which is affiliated with African Bush Camps. It was simply incredible. Somalisa features a watering hole with front porch views of elephant herds as well as other animals bathing and drinking water at the camp. Additionally, we were able to see African painted dogs, several pride of lions, leopard, and many other animal sightings on our daily morning and evening game drives. The camp accommodations are luxurious, and all meals were excellent. The staff wonderful!
At Victoria Falls we opted to stay at the Victoria Falls Hotel which was nice. Another accommodation that we stayed at on a previous trip was the River Club. Activities at the falls included a guided tour of both sides of the falls as well as lunch on Livingston Island, a must. There you can also opt to swim to the Devil's Pool which overlooks the falls.
Another property we used was Ruckomechi at Mana Pools run by Wilderness Safaris. It was also very nice with elephants roaming through the camp and all tents with river views. There we enjoyed boat trips on the river as well as game drives.
Ours was a private safari arranged by Mango Safaris, but other folks that we met at Somalisa had arranged all their accommodations with African Bush Camps, and they were highly satisfied with all their accommodations and experiences.

Just happened to be checking my post and saw your Aug 17 response.Thank you so much for your description which confirms our choice of camps.
While this is our 14th trip to Southern Africa, this is only our 2nd time Zim. About 20 yrs ago, Beks (owner of African Bush Camps) was our guide at a Wilderness camp there. He is so special that we couldn't miss this opportunity and will be in Somalisa & Nyamatusi in Zim, Thorntree River Camp at the Falls and finally Linyanti Bush Camp in Botswana. Before leaving for 3 day in Capetown we will stay at Mashatu new Euphorbia Camp though Main Camp was fine 2 years ago. Mashatu is a MUST if you have not been. Finally, if you Google Wild Earth Safari, you can see real time am/pm game drives and you can communicate with the drivers...enjoy. Gregg
