This month’s winner is KEN LEVINE of Chicago, Illinois:
In November 2005 I went to the Bo Tung Xeo restaurant in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. I ordered some type of marinated beef.
When the beef was brought to the table, it looked very rare. I got really excited because I love rare beef. I usually order it extra rare and I am usually disappointed because it is never rare enough. On this occasion I wasn’t even asked how I wanted it cooked.
It tasted a little cold, but I didn’t care. It was rare!
After I finished about half of it, the server brought a barbecue grill to the table. I guess I was supposed to cook it.
